Diaries

So, I’ve never been much of a diary person. It’s evident even looking at my blog. I really do try to write, but I find it very difficult to just get going. So, this blog post is about diaries. Recently, I was cleaning out my bin of stuff, which is already a mess again.

Already??? Ugh.

And while doing that, I stumbled across I diary which, according to the dates, I got for Christmas in 2016. So, I decided to read it. Here are a few of the entries:

Dear Diary,

Sorry, I’ve been slacking off on this. At grandma’s I got 24 books. I also got an Elsa nutcracker. Em’s being useless. She was supposed to finish her chores before me but I finished before her so she gets no bubble bath. I do though. In Warriors I found a prophecy. It said, “4 will become 2, and Lion will fight Tiger.” I don’t understand it at all!

I’ll try to write tomorrow later,

Kirstin

(Afterthought) Wow, first of all, there were quite a few grammar mistakes in there, most of which I fixed here. There were also a few spelling mistakes, but hey, I was in 4th grade when I got this. I actually still have the books and the Elsa nutcracker. Well, I have the head of the Elsa nutcracker. That’s another story for another time. I also never take baths anymore. They just don’t seem fun. Well, let’s move on to another one!

Dear Diary,

Today, while we were playing on the Wii U, Em said her thigh hurt. I don’t believe her, because the way she limps says she probably doesn’t hurt that much. No reply for the MAP parts yet, but I’m pretty confident I can do it! The MAP is called Bluestar’s Prophecy. My sister just barged in after a series of dramatic ows. I know she’s fine. When she walked in she showed no sign of any pain. Even I can do better than that!

Yours truly,

Kirstin

(Afterthought) There were still quite a few grammar mistakes in this one, probably even more than the first one. I’m pretty sure that there are still a few in there, but I’m too lazy to go back and try to correct them. I remember signing up for that MAP, and how happy I was when I got the parts. I’ve never realized before now how negatively I used to (and still do, to an extent) think about my sister. Wow. I bet the reason her thigh hurt was because I hit her with a wii remote or something. Anyways, onto the next, and last, entry!

Dear Diary,

I have SO many things on my mind. Let’s start from the beginning of the day. This morning, as always, my sister complained about the bed. I’m on the outside and she’s on the inside. Next, I was putting my backpack on, and our bins are full of stuff. I knocked down my sister’s bin. I was like, “Oh great!” 🙁 Then, we were at the tire swing and we had to go in and (these are made-up names) Fabric, Pins, and two 3rd graders got mad at us. I was like, “We were just about to STOP IT!!!” I went away from them and tried not to cry. On the outside, I was just plain mad. On the inside, I was screaming at them and punching them in the face. I didn’t even LOOK at Fabric and Pins for an hour! Then, I got off the bus. It took me a while to realize I forgot my jacket! Then, we were doing chores. My sister was covering me with clothes. Then my mom got mad and was like, “Fine. You do it on your own.” Then we had a clothes fight. We FINALLY got our chores done.

Well, goodbye,

Kirstin

(Afterthought) First of all, ew. Why would I even want to be buried in clothes in the first place? I can assure you that I don’t do that anymore. *shudders* Also, there were so. Many. Mistakes. Quite a few of them were spelling mistakes, too. That tire swing thing actually happened. I wouldn’t say that I didn’t look at Fabric and Pins for an hour, it was probably closer to 30-45 minutes. I can still tell which of the 3rd (Now 6th) graders were mean to me at the tire swing. I don’t really like tire swings anymore. They’re not a lot of fun. What the heck is a clothes fight? I can’t remember anymore. I think what it was was my sister and I got into a fight about clothes. Who knows?

Bye for now! Have a happy new year!
